During this public health crisis, it's important to stay sane and healthy and it’s fine to ride your bike for exercise, as long as you maintain a distance of at least six feet from anyone you aren’t already self-quarantining with. Another idea during this time is to get on the trainer at home or start a project with your kids at home to fix up that old bike in the backyard. https://www.calbike.org/is-bicycling-safe-during-pandemic/
At Foy's, we have been taking extra care in cleaning and disinfecting areas such as phones, keyboards, door handles and washing our hands frequently and practicing social distancing. We will be wearing gloves and disinfecting bicycles when we handle a customer's bike and when accepting any form of physical payment.
With the current shelter in place just issued in Yolo County, we will remain open because related to an auto-repair shop, a bicycle is the only transportation some people have to get to their "essential business and activities", such as the grocery store. We can take appointments for dropping off or picking up repairs, especially if your bike is needed to travel to your "essential business and activities". Please call or email us with any questions (530) 662-4306 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
